“Ibb LV, a rapper from Lawnside, NJ, is all set to make the crowd go crazy for him with his sick rap game. He debuted his first single on November 21st, 2021 and has been devoted to music since then. Ibb is here to give rap and R&B a new definition. Ibb started to get involved with music when he was 15 years old. He started taking it seriously about a year and a half ago. Ibb’s music consists of rap and melodic R&B. We all have that one song that makes us break down in tears while also having a song that really pumps us up and gets us going again. Ibb music is just this kind of music. It addresses all the emotions and things that people experience, such as pain, hate from others, pleasure, betrayal, happiness, love, and everything you’ve been through. Ibb just makes vibes for all types of people that enjoy rap and R&B, both the highs and the lows.
People tend to find connections in music through memories due to music’s deep connection to the limbic system. Certain songs have a way of transporting you to another time or place in your life. As a result, we feel a nostalgic connection to music in addition to the emotions that it already evokes in us. When creating a song, Ibb first gets a feel for the beat, then decides whether he wants the song to be more upbeat or mellow, rap or melodic R & B. Once he gets a feel for the instrumental, then he begins the writing process. With writing, Ibb likes to write whatever comes to mind and what people can relate to and is privy to emotions. Then he makes sure the lyrics sound how he wants them to, and then it’s time to record.
Ibb got inspired by his friend Fat Chap0 to make music. He was the sole reason Ibb went into the studio. He’s been making music for about 3–4 years and about 3 years before that for Ibb. He was the one that kept pushing Ibb to come to the studio and record. They collaborated to create Ibb’s first song, “Blood Money”, which he featured on and dropped in November of ‘21, coupled with a music video.
Since then, they have been locked in, recording, and making music. They are currently working on a collab tape with some features that should drop sometime around May or June.
His inspiration and love for music are derived from writing papers in school, especially in college. At the collegiate level, it forced Ibb to be more well versed, and versatile, and to improve my writing skills, which correlated with writing music. For every song that he produces, he tries to make it better than the last and more well-written.
We can expect a little bit of everything from Ibb shortly, primarily more rap and melodic R & B. Currently, Ibb is looking to venture out into different genres, possibly pop and some Caribbean vibes. Ibb has a plan to make his mark in this industry and just continues to ride along.”
